Finding your buddy Fred the frog is the only reason you need to break from Zelda

March 9th for $9.99 in Europe and North America on the Switch as well as the 3DS.

Damn I absolutely love the fact that they didn't try to bring this into the next gen of gaming with flashy 3D character models but really focused on keeping this in line with the 8-bit original from 1988.

Using the original Blaster Master game as a base, we are setting out to create a fully 8-bit experience in a way that both hearkens back to the golden age of the NES and uses the current generation hardware to optimize and power up the game for the players of today. This of course includes new areas and bosses, and new gameplay elements such as extra sub-weapons, improved gameplay when battling outside of your SOPHIA 3rd tank, a more robust scenario, refined and expanded exploration mechanics, and more. Everything is starting again from “zero”

Why would I buy it on the Switch when I have a perfectly fancy 3DS you ask?

Because the Switch comes with two tiny controllers and Blaster Master Zero on the Switch supports two player Co-operative multiplayer!! Not only that but it will also be one of a handful of games that takes advantage of the HD Rumble support, which means you can finally feel it in the palm of your hand when your SOPHIA 3 Battle Tank comes crashing down into the ground from 40 stories up.

Check out below for some exclusive screen shots of a new boss, sub weapons and that fancy ass SOPHIA III!!

I wonder if burnt brain tastes like calamari?

I always thought SOPHIA III's tires looked like little screws. Glad that is still here.

With HD Rumble you feel this little dudes pain.
