Stop putting your CG in my cartoons!

Netflix decided it was time to show off just a little bit of what they have in store for the new Castlevania animated series debuting July 7, 2017. The shows producer and creator of the Power Rangers brutal short film Adi Shankar has stated several times "I’m personally guaranteeing that this is going to be the best fucking video game adaptation ever made to date … I’ve seen it, and it’s amazing."

Well what do you think from the few seconds of actual show, does it have potential?

Can it dethrone Captain N: The Game Master?

First of all Captain N was not even close to the best video game cartoon adaptation, it would either be Pokemon which is an easy one or one of my personal favorites Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Realm!

Either way the animation is looking pretty good from what you can see, it even has a little bit of a Berserk vibe to it. Still something feels a little off.

Any clue whats holding it back from looking great?

It's hard to tell but I think they have added in some CG in the blend of animation. As I mentioned previously it has a Berserk vibe to it and I think that is whats throwing me off in this trailer. The CG in Berserk that came out last year had some pointless uses of it mixed in and they slowly got away from it in season 2, it's hard to make work while adding little to no value. Keep the computer generated stuff to a minimum and please include the Puppet Master from Harmony of Despair or Dawn of Sorrow, that dude is creepy!
