Ice Cold Beer here!

If you have never heard of the arcade game Ice Cold Beer(1983), do yourself a favor and track one down as it’s one of our favorite games ever. The premise is simple, by moving two joysticks on the sides of the machine you try and guide a ball up and down a peg filled wall via a metal bar. Why the history lesson? Because this game features that exact same ball, bar, peg board system as that old school game.

WE THINK...
Dude, did you have any idea this game existed?

Are you kidding me? Had I known there was a game based on one of the site’s favorite arcade games I would have been covering it for months!

What part of this game has you the most excited?

Besides the fact that someone had the foresight to combine the addictive hook from Ice Cold Beer with a rouge-like? It has to be seeing how guiding this creature up the peg filled wall feels. If they do not get the feel and physics right, the entire thing will fall apart.

Do you think the rogue-like elements will work here?

Yeah, as long as they don’t hinder the core gameplay mechanic, I love the idea and can see it adding to the games life.
